Denmark Industrial Production at -0.30 percent
Denmark's industrial production decreased by 0.3 percent year-on-year in October 2016, following a downwardly revised 3.5 percent drop in the previous month. It was the second straight month of decline, dragged by a fall in manufacturing production (-1.3 percent from -3.8 percent in September) while mining and quarrying grew (+8.1 percent from -1.3 percent). Within manufacturing, output rose for: Food products, beverages and tobacco (+3.3 percent); pharmaceuticals (+34.4 percent); and furniture and other manufacturing (+5.6 percent). By contrast, production of machinery contracted by 33.9 percent. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output grew by 3.8 percent.
