Latvia's producer prices rose 2.2 percent in April of 2017, following a 2 percent increase in the previous month. It is the highest producer inflation since May of 2013, as prices continued to advance for manufacturing (2.5 percent vs 2.3 percent in March) and mining and quarrying (0.9 percent vs 0.4 percent) and rebounded for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (0.2 percent vs -0.6 percent). Meanwhile, cost slowed down for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (7.4 percent vs 9.2 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent, at the same pace as in March.
