Lithuania Industrial Production at 8.40 percent


Industrial production in Lithuania increased 8.4 percent year-on-year in January of 2017, following an upwardly revised 5.9 percent increase in the previous month. It is the highest figure since January last year, as output jumped for manufacturing (12.3 percent vs 8.2 percent in December). By contrast, production declined for mining (-4.4 percent vs 10.8 percent); water supply, sewerage and waste management (-1.6 percent vs -0.7 percent) and for electricity gas, steam and air conditioning (-12.1 percent vs -8.4 percent). On a monthly basis, industrial output went up 1.9 percent from an upwardly revised 1.2 percent increase in December.
