The seasonally adjusted jobless rate in Luxembourg fell to 6 percent in April of 2017 from 6.5 percent a year earlier, remaining at the lowest level since April of 2012. The number of unemployed persons dropped by 1 thousand to 16 thousand persons while employment increased by 13.9 thousand to 430.4 thousand persons. The decline in unemployment is widespread and also benefits more vulnerable job seekers: with health problems (-5.9 percent), low skilled (-9.7 percent) and those enrolled for at least 12 months (-7.7 percent).
