Myanmar Manufacturing Pmi at 53.10
The Nikkei Manufacturing PMI in Myanmar rose to 53.1 in March of 2017 from 51.9 in February. It was the highest reading in survey history, as output and new orders expanded at record rates and employment went up at a faster pace. Meantime, backlogs of work declined again substantially, indicating that the sector is still experiencing a lack pressure on capacity. Firms raised marginally their selling prices, despite a further substantial increase in input costs. At the same time, business sentiment fell to a record low as the vast majority of panel members expected production to remain the same as current levels.
