Myanmar Manufacturing Pmi at 48.10
Manufacturing PMI in Myanmar stood at 48.1 in September of 2016 from 47.2 in August as output, new orders and employment fell less than in the prior month. Meanwhile, input prices inflation rose the most since January. A number of panelists linked this to the depreciation of the kyat relative to the US dollar and its effect on import costs. This contributed to a second successive uptick in average selling prices. "On a more positive note, with news that US sanctions will 'soon' be lifted, the sector looks set for growth in the years ahead,” said Alex Gill, at IHS Markit.
