Myanmar Manufacturing Pmi at 51.70


The Nikkei Manufacturing PMI in Myanmar rose to 51.7 in January of 2017 from 49.4 in December. It was the highest reading in a year, supported by an increase in output, new orders and employment while business confidence rose to a four-month high. However, supply chain pressures persisted while firms maintained stock reduction policies. On the price front, higher input costs led Myanmar’s goods producers to increase selling prices further.
