Paraguay Inflation Rate at 4.20 percent
Consumer prices in Paraguay rose 4.2 percent year-on-year in November of 2016, following a 3.6 percent increase in previous month. It is the highest inflation since June, as cost went up for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+9.4 percent from +7.0 percent in October), mainly driven by higher prices of beef and other meat substitutes, dairy products and sugar. Meanwhile, prices declined for transport (-4.2 percent from -3.9 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 1.0 percent.
