Consumer confidence in Slovenia decreased to -9 in February 2017 from a record high of -3 in the previous month, as households' expectations over the next 12 months regarding their financial situation, unemployment levels, the country's economy and savings deteriorated. Meanwhile, consumers' prospects about price level improved, while the opinion about the current household’s finances remained the same as last month.

The seasonally adjusted business tendency in manufacturing in Slovenia increased to 11 in February of 2017 from 9 in the previous month. It was the highest reading since July of 2007 mainly due to improvements in current production (14 from 11 in January), total demand (10 from 8) and expectations for selling prices (7 from 4), demand (24 from 22) and employment (15 from 14). Meanwhile, current export orders declined (4 from 8).
