Turkmenistan GDP Annual Growth Rate at 6.20 percent


Turkmenistan's economy advanced 6.2 percent year-on-year in January-September of 2016, compared to 7.5 percent a year earlier, due to a decline in energy prices and Russia's decision to stop purchases of Turkmen gas. The growth was observed in industrial production (+1.3 percent); services (+9.7 percent); construction (+4.5 percent); agriculture (+11.2 percent); retail sales (+15.2 percent) and transportation (+15.2 percent).
