Brazil Inflation Slows to 9-Month Low

The annual inflation rate in Brazil fell to 4.68% in October of 2025 from 5.17% in September, below market expectations of 4.75% to mark the lowest level since January.
Inflation slowed for food and beverages (5.5% vs 6.61% in September), housing (4.36% vs 6.24%), household goods (0.43% vs 1.21%), personal expenses (6.83% vs 7.10%), and communication (0.88% vs 1.56%).
In contrast, prices accelerated for clothing (5.07% vs 4.93%), transport (3.69% vs 3.18%), health and personal care (5.42% vs 5.39%), and education (6.21% vs 6.19%).
Goiania posted the highest regional inflation at 6.41%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1%, decelerating from a 0.48% increase in September.
