Croatia Retail Sales Growth Slows in May

Retail sales in Croatia rose by 2.6% year-on-year in May 2025, the least since August 2023, following a 4.9% advance in the previous month.

Sales continued to grow at a robust pace for non-food products (7.7% vs 7.5% in April) and automotive fuels and lubricants (7.5% vs 10.9%), but declined for food, beverages & tobacco (-1.4% vs 4.9%).On a monthly basis, retail activity fell by 1.4% in May, marking the steepest decrease since January 2022, after a 1% rise in the prior month.
