East Timor Inflation Rate Stalls in June

The annual inflation rate in East Timor stalled in June 2025, following a 0.2% fall in the previous month.
Prices rebounded for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.1% vs -0.3% in May), while deflation slightly softened for transport (-1.7% vs -1.8%).
Additionally, costs edged up for clothing and footwear (1.0% vs 0.9%).
On the other hand, prices ticked lower for housing (0.4% vs 0.5%).
At the same time, costs were stable for furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.7%), recreation and culture (0.6%), education (0.4%), health (0.0%) and alcohol and tobacco (-0.9%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1% in June 2025, recovering from a 0.2% decline in the preceding month.
