Lithuania Q1 GDP Growth Revised Lower

The economy of Lithuania advanced by 0.4% quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter of 2025, slightly lower than preliminary estimates of 0.6% rise and slowing from a 1.0% gain in the previous three-month period.
From the production side, the largest contributions to the GDP slowdown came primarily from declines in information and communication (-3.2% vs.
3.4% in Q4), professional, scientific and technical activities, administrative and support service activities (-1.6% vs 1.3%), and arts, entertainment and recreation, repair of household goods and other services (-1.1% vs 0.2%).
On the expenditure side, capital formation eased (0.5% vs.
9.1%), while household consumption (-2.7% vs 2.3%) decreased.
Meanwhile, government spending rose slightly by 0.3% from a flat reading in the previous quarter.
On a yearly basis, the country's GDP rose by 3.2% in the first quarter of 2025, easing from a 4.0% advance in the prior quarter.
