Industrial production in Lithuania rose by 1.9% year-on-year in May 2025, slowing from an upwardly revised 2.5% increase in the previous month.
This marked the eleventh consecutive month of expansion in industrial activity but the softest in the sequence, as output declined further for mining and quarrying (-7.2% vs -5.4% in April).
Additionally, production growth moderated for manufacturing (1.2% vs 2.3%).
On the other hand, output surged to nearly three-year high for electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (22.6% vs 8.1%), while it decreased at a softer pace for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services (-1.9% vs -2.1%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity advanced by 1.7% in May, rebounding from an upwardly revised 3.1% drop in the preceding period.
