Mozambique Inflation Rate Steady at 4%

Inflation Rate in Mozambique was at 4% in May 2025, little changed from 3.99% in April.

Biggest increases were seen in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (8.73%) and restaurants and hotels (8.35%).

Compared to the previous month, the CPI declined 0.36%, following a 0.38% drop in April, led by a fall in the food category, mainly tomatoes (-17.7%) and corn (-10.9%).

Other downward pressure came from transport cost.
