The annual inflation rate in Oman remained steady at 1% in February 2025, holding at its highest level since August last year.
Price growth accelerated for transport (3.4% vs.
2.8% in January) and miscellaneous personal goods and services (6.3% vs.
4.4%).
However, this was offset by a sharp deceleration in food and non-alcoholic beverage inflation (0.1% vs.
1%) and a slight easing in cost increases for restaurants and hotels (0.8% vs.
0.9%) as well as clothing and footwear (0.5% vs.
0.6%).
Meanwhile, prices for housing and utilities, tobacco, and communication remained unchanged.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.4%, reversing a 0.4% increase in January.
