The annual inflation rate in Oman eased to 0.6% in March 2025 from 1% in the previous month.
This marked the lowest inflation rate since last November, mainly driven by a decline in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.7% vs 0.1% in February).
Additionally, prices rose at a slower pace for transport (1.7% vs 3.4%), recreation and culture (0.3% vs 0.4%), restaurants and hotels (0.7% vs 0.8%), and miscellaneous personal goods and services (6.1% vs 6.3%).
On the other hand, costs remained unchanged for housing and utilities, tobacco, clothing and footwear, health, education, and communication.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.4% in March, the same rate as in the previous period.
