The annual inflation rate in Oman eased to 0.5% in June 2025 from 0.6% in the previous month.

This marked the lowest level since November 2024, mainly driven by a deeper decline in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-2.0% vs -0.8% in May).

Costs also continued to fall for furnishings and household maintenance (-0.2% vs -0.3%) and remained flat for recreation and culture (0.0% vs 0.3%).

Additionally, inflation moderated for restaurants and hotels (1.4% vs 1.5%).

On the other hand, price growth accelerated in a few categories, with transport inflation picking up to 2.6% from 2.4%, and inflation for miscellaneous goods and services rose to 6.8% from 6.4%.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices were unchanged in June, the same as in May.
