Rwanda Inflation Rate Hits Over 1-1/2-Year High

Rwanda's overall inflation climbed to 8.3% in June 2025, the highest since November 2023, from 7.7% in May, extending the current upward trend for a fourth consecutive month.
Main upward pressure came from prices of restaurants & hotels (15.9% vs 13.5% in May); communications (17.2%, the same as in May); food & non-alcoholic beverages (10.7% vs 10%); alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (8.8% vs 7.2%) and cothing & footwear (6.6% vs 6.4%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were flat, consistent with May's figures.
