Saudi Arabia’s economy expanded by 3.9% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2025, following a 3.4% growth in the first quarter, preliminary data showed.

The stronger performance was largely driven by solid growth in non-oil activities, although the pace eased slightly to 4.7% from 4.9%.

In addition, oil activities rebounded significantly, expanding by 3.8% after a 0.5% contraction in the prior quarter.

Meanwhile, government activities increased by just 0.6%, slowing sharply from a 3.2% rise.

On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, GDP grew by 2.1% in the June quarter, accelerating from a 1.1% increase in the previous period.
