Slovakia’s consumer confidence indicator fell to -24.1 in July 2025 from -22.8 in the previous month, marking its lowest level since May 2023.
The decline was mainly driven by heightened concerns about unemployment (27.4 vs 21.4 in June) and increased pessimism toward savings (-18.6 vs -17.2), while conditions for major purchases (-21.1 vs -17.1) continued to deteriorate.
In contrast, sentiment improved on household finances (-10.6 vs -12) and the country’s overall economic situation (-39.7 vs -40.5).
