American Shipping Company ASA (AMSC), formerly Aker American Shipping, is a Norway-based company engaged in the field of sea-borne tankers. It owns and long-term bareboat charters vessels for operation in the United States Jones Act market. The Company’s fleet comprises a range of Medium Range (MR) product tankers, including Overseas Houston, Overseas Long Beach, Overseas Los Angeles, Overseas New York, and Overseas Martinez, among others, which are on long-term bareboat charter contracts with Overseas Shipholding Group Inc (OSG). Furthermore, the Company operates through a number of subsidiaries, such as American Tanker Holding Company Inc (ATHC), American Shipping Corporation II (ASC II), American Tanker Inc (ATI), as well as ten separate leasing companies ASC Leasing I - X Inc.
