Australia Building Capex Rises 3.6% QoQ in Q4

Private new capital expenditure on buildings and structures in Australia rose on a seasonally-adjusted basis by 3.6% QoQ in the fourth quarter of 2022, accelerating from a 0.5% growth in the third quarter.
On an industry basis, capital expenditure on building and structures increased the most in other services (67.1%), financial and insurance services (47.3%), professional, scientific & technical services (36.2%), accommodation & food services (25.6%) and administrative & support services (15.4%).
On an annual basis, private capital expenditure on building and structures grew 3.8% in the fourth quarter.
