The Nikkei 225 Index Closes 0.90% Higher

In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 Index gained 331 points or 0.90 percent on Friday.

Gains were led by Fujikura (7.65%), Sumitomo Metal Mining (6.06%) and Shiseido (5.90%).

Biggest losers were Nippon Sheet Glass (-2.49%), Recruit Holdings (-2.37%) and Yokohama Rubber (-2.13%).
