Banjul, the capital of Gambia is a regional entrepôt, where merchandise can be imported and exported without paying import duties. As a result, Gambia re-exports constitute over 80 percent of the country’s total exports. Gambia main exports are: peanuts, fish and cotton. Gambia main export partners are Senegal and Guinea followed by the United Kingdom and China. Others include: Guinea-Bissau, Ghana and India.
