Mexico Auto Exports Drop in February

Auto exports in Mexico slipped by 4.4% year-on-year to 247,945 units in February 2026, after a 2.3% rise in the prior month.
Several companies recorded declines, including General Motors (-9.5% to 57,473), Ford Motor (-9.4% to 28,958), Nissan (-26.8% to 27,800), Mazda (-38.6% to 7,115), Mercedes-Benz Group (-28.4% to 2,832) and BMW (-96.6% to 288).
In the first two months of 2026, exports rose by 1.4% to 485,426 units.
The United States was the main destination, accounting for 75.7% of total, followed by Canada (12.1%) and Germany (3.3%).
