Azerbaijan GDP Rises 1.5% in January to May

Azerbaijan’s economy expanded by 1.5% year-on-year in January-May 2025, accelerating from a 0.9% growth in January-April but slowing from a 4.2% rise in the same period last year.

The non-oil and gas sector grew by 3.9%, while the oil and gas sector contracted by 3%.

On the production side, the main contributors to GDP growth were industry (36.2%), trade and vehicle repair (9.9%), transportation and warehousing (7%), and construction (6.2%).
