Belgium Construction Output Drops for 2nd Month

Belgium’s construction output dropped by 6.6% year-on-year in March 2025, deepening from a downwardly revised 2.9% fall in the previous month.
This marked the second consecutive month of decline in construction activity, as production across all subsectors decreased at a faster pace, including construction of buildings (-9.2% vs.
-4.8% in February), civil engineering work (-6.7%% vs.
-2.2%), and specialized construction activities (-5.1% vs.
-2%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction activity went down by 0.9% in March, slowing from a 1.2% loss in the preceding period.
