Belgium Construction Output Falls 0.9% in May

Belgium’s construction output decreased by 0.9% year-on-year in May 2025, reversing a downwardly revised 6.2% growth in the previous month.

Declines were seen across all sectors, namely building construction (-1.4% vs 4.2% in April), civil engineering works (-0.5% vs 4.9%), and specialized construction activities (-0.7% vs 6.1%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction activity dropped by 2.2% in May, after a downwardly revised 1.6% rise in April.
