Colombia Trade Gap Widens in July

Colombia’s trade deficit widened to $2.05B in July 2025 from $0.96B a year earlier, as imports surged and exports declined.
Imports rose 16.2% to $6.48B, led by a 12.9% increase in manufactured goods to $4.97B.
Purchases of agricultural products, food, and beverages jumped 36.5% to $0.88B, while fuel and extractive imports advanced 15.3% to $0.60B.
Meanwhile, exports fell 4.1% to $4.43B, weighed by a 25.6% drop in fuel and extractive shipments to $1.73B.
Offsetting part of the decline, agricultural exports grew 31.8% to $1.25B, and manufactured exports climbed 11.8% to $1.05B.
