Estonia Producer Prices Change at 3.90 percent  
Producer prices in Estonia rose 3.9 percent year-on-year in February of 2017, faster than a 1.5 percent rise in January. It was the fifth straight month of gain and the fastest since October 2013, driven by a surge in cost of electricity, gas, stream and water conditioning supply (10.0 percent from -13.9 percent in the prior month) and a faster increase in cost of manufacturing (3.8 percent from 3.2 percent). In contrast, cost of mining & quarrying fell 5.0 percent (from -13.9 percent). Cost remained unchanged for water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation services. On a monthly basis, producer prices were flat, following a 1.0 percent rise in January.

In contrast, prices fell for: communication (-1.4 percent) and recreation and culture (-0.4 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 1.3 percent, compared to a 0.4 percent increase in the preceding month.

For full year 2016 economy grew by 1.6 percent, compared to a 1.1 percent expansion in 2015.
