Hungary Trade Surplus Widens in August

Hungary recorded a trade surplus of EUR 557 million in August 2025 from EUR 294 million in the same month a year ago, as exports decreased at a softer pace than imports.
Year-on-year, exports fell 5.3% to EUR 10,193 million, while imports declined by 8% to EUR 9,636 million.
Considering the first eight months of the year, the country’s trade surplus rose to EUR 7,112 million from EUR 6,192 million in the same period last year.
