Exports from Senegal fell 41.8 percent year-on-year to CFA 83 billion in December of 2016 led by animal and vegetables goods (-75 percent), industrial goods (-62.4 percent), minerals (-50.8 percent), energy and lubricants (-42 percent) and food, beverages and tobacco (-30 percent). Main export partners were Mali (13.8 percent of total exports), Switzerland (13.5 percent), China (10.3 percent), Mauritania (4.9 percent) and Guinea (4.7 percent). Exports in Senegal averaged 98.98 CFA Franc Billion from 2009 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 150.87 CFA Franc Billion in May of 2013 and a record low of 53.19 CFA Franc Billion in September of 2009.
