Exports from Kenya decreased 8.3 percent year-on-year to KES 46.7 billion in December of 2016, driven by food and beverages (-12.3 percent from 2.6 percent in November), which account for around 42.5 percent of total sales. Meanwhile, shipments increased less for consumer goods (6.2 percent from 30.5 percent) and continued to rise for non-food industrial supplies (12 percent from 6.5 percent). Main export partners were: Uganda, Pakistan, the United States, United Kingdom and Netherlands. Exports in Kenya averaged 27619.81 Million KES from 1998 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 59405 Million KES in July of 2015 and a record low of 9007 Million KES in January of 1999.
