In Iraq, the most important components in the Consumer Price Index are Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (30 percent of the total weight); Housing and Utilities (25 percent); and Transportation (15 percent). House Supplies, Equipment & Maintenance account for 7 percent; Clothing and Footwear for 6 percent; Miscellaneous Services and Goods for 5 percent; and Health for 4 percent. Tobacco, Communication, Recreation and Culture, Education, Restaurants and Hotels account for the remaining 8 percent of total weight.
