The saving rate of the households sector in Finland weakened to -0.8 percent in the third quarter of 2016 compared with -0.6 percent in the second quarter, mainly caused by growing consumption expenditure. Personal Savings in Finland averaged 1.66 percent from 1999 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 8.80 percent in the first quarter of 2002 and a record low of -5.10 percent in the second quarter of 2002.
