Retail sales in Serbia went up 5.7 percent year-on-year in March of 2017, following a 1.1 percent rise in the prior month. It is the strongest increase since December of 2016, as sales rose for food, beverages, and tobacco (4.1 percent vs 1.7 percent in February); non-food (10.5 percent vs 2.2 percent) and automotive fuel (1.3 percent vs -1.5 percent). On a monthly basis, retail sales jumped 17.6 percent. Retail Sales YoY in Serbia averaged 5.12 percent from 2003 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 35.67 percent in June of 2005 and a record low of -21.71 percent in July of 2011.
