The overall growth was supported by stronger activity in water supply and materials recovery (8.2% vs. 2.8% in June). Meanwhile, growth in mining and quarrying eased (6.0% vs. 11.4%), while manufacturing slowed (1.5% vs. 2.0%), mainly due to weaker growth in wood products (5.1% vs. 7.3%), rubber and plastic products (2.0% vs. 4.9%), and basic metals and fabricated metal products (3.7% vs. 4.9%). Electricity supply remained in contraction, although the decline narrowed (-1.1% vs. -4.0%).
