Year-on-year, downward pressures came from lower prices of transport (-1 percent) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.8 percent). In contrast, upward pressures came from housing, water electricity and gas cost (up 2.2 percent), mainly electricity prices.
Annual core inflation rate which excludes food and energy dropped to -0.1 percent in September of 2014. Month-on-month, consumer prices increased 0.2 percent.
In September, the harmonized CPI decreased 0.3 percent year-on-year.
