Food prices slowed to 17.52 percent from 19.15 percent in the previous month. Cost of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels eased to 3.07 percent (6.09 percent in November) and cost of medical care decelerated to 7.77 percent. Transport cost increased slightly to 7.5 percent.
Prices of clothing and footwear; recreation and culture and restaurants and hotels remained unchanged at November’s rate (6.55 percent, 17.55 and 22.6 percent respectively).
On a monthly basis, prices fell 1.02 percent as cost of fresh vegetables decreased by 11.35 percent and that of fresh fruits dropped 0.43 percent.
Core CPI rose 0.41 percent in December compared to 0.46 percent in November. The annual rate slightly eased to 11.91 percent from 11.95 percent in the previous month.
