The number of employed persons in November 2015 was 63.79 million, an increase of 0.1 percent from the previous year while the number of unemployed persons fell 4.6 percent from the previous year to 2.09 million.
The labour force was almost flat from a year earlier at 65.88 million and population aged 15 and over was also almost flat at 110.82 million.
The jobs-to-applicants ratio was at 1.25 percent, up from 1.24 percent in the October and the highest since January 1992.
In November 2014, the unemplyment rate stood at 3.5 percent.
