The number of unemployed people increased to 3.87 million in October from 3.72 million in September. A year earlier, the figure was 4.14 million.
796 thousand people were officially registered as unemployed in October, unchanged from September but down from 849 thousand a year earlier.
Nominal wages rose at a slower 8.6 percent year-on-year in October, following a revised 9.7 percent increase in September. Real wages increased 0.3 percent above market expectations and real disposable income grew 2.1 percent.
